Energy Medicine/Work is being discussed these days as if it was a new form of therapy for patients. Not so. Ancient cultures understood intuitively what scientific research world-wide is confirming today about the flow (or lack of flow) of energy in the body and how the use of energy therapies can enhance the healing process. We will discuss working in the energetic field; do some exercises with energy – “feeling” it, and discuss what Reiki is and how it can be learned and incorporated into massage.
Sally graduated from the East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland in 1999 and practiced massage in Bellingham until 2017. During that time she helped start the massage program at Whatcom Community College and taught in it full time for 4 years. She owned and operated Green Touch, a massage supply retail store that also offered massage services with 8 therapists on staff. Sally became a Reiki practitioner in January 1981 and a Master Teacher in 1998. In her twenty one years of teaching Reiki, Sally has taught over 500 students at all levels of Reiki. “I am dedicated to building awareness about Reiki and its many applications, and to building a community of Reiki practitioners.” Sally sponsors monthly Reiki practitioner gatherings and a variety of other opportunities for building public awareness of Reiki.
