About the Presenter: Elizabeth has been a Massage Therapist and Yoga Teacher since 2003. She has always been drawn to the mind-body connection, and today she is an Advanced Soma Structural Integration practitioner. Creating change in the fascial matrix of the body can create huge changes in the outlook and self-reflection someone has in their life. Elizabeth teaches functional movement-based yoga that adheres to developmental principles, and encourages laughter to truly be the best medicine. Her commitment to play in her own life and teachings ensures that deep wisdom is transmitted in a light-hearted & digestible way.
About the Class: In this 3-hour workshop (3 CE hours/hands on), Elizabeth will guide you into the magic of the pelvic bowl! You will have a fresh sense of the multidimensional matrix that creates this “basin” which contains all our light AND darkness. It's through reverence for all the parts of ourselves that we can offer transformative hands-on body therapy to others.
In our time together:
- You will learn 3 functional movements that you can offer to your clients (and yourselves!) to keep your magic pelvic bowl happy
- You will witness and practice techniques to address the pelvis 3-dimensionally. Hands-on work will be slow & patient
- You will be guided into a multi-dimensional visualization to expand your own awareness of your magic pelvic bowl, and be able to support your clients more through your own self-awareness
- You will be refreshed in the current Washington State guidelines (WAC 246-830-557) for perineum and gluteal cleft massage (legality refresher- these techniques are not covered in this class)
What to bring: Bring a massage table, sheets, and 1-2 pillows!
